About Vanessa DiMauro
Vanessa DiMauro has been involved with ETM Associates, Inc. as an advisor and consultant since its inception. As a principle at Leader Networks - a consulting company -- she brings companies closer to their clients with a deep experience base of building end-user communities. She has been a virtual community builder for more than fifteen years and is a recognized expert in interactive marketing, online community building and digital customer care. Working for pioneering organizations such as CXO Systems, Cambridge Technology Partners, and TERC, Vanessa has helped shape the role virtual communities play on the Web. She has led communities such as Cambridge Information Network (CIN) - a community of over 5,000 of the most senior CIOs around the world and she ran the ComputerWorld communities, and founded the ComputerWorld Executive Suite - an online community for IT leaders.
Vanessa DiMauro's numerous clients include EMC, TowerGroup, Cisco, ADL, AOL, DCI, and Project Truffle. She frequently gives talks on the reality of building and sustaining online communities, served as a community judge for the Global Information Infrastructure awards, and has authored numerous academic research and general articles on community building. Women in Technology International (WITI) recently named her one of Boston's Most Influential Women in Technology.
